Everyone's Taste Counts
BESPOKE design starts with the idea that it's not just a product that looks good. Based on the understanding of the user of the product and the space in which the product is placed, the design is completed to suit the entire experience, including before and after use.
Home appliances that express different tastes but harmonize with the surroundings and transform together according to lifestyle changes. It is a Bispoke design pursued by Samsung designers.
What is the "BESPOKE"?
It refers to a customized production method that produces "as you say." When a customer decides the color, design, and size of the product and chooses the style they want, manufacturing and delivery are made accordingly. Originally, it was used to mean "customized suit," but the scope of application is expanding to the automobile sector as well as home appliances.
Reference Image
The image I referred to during this project is the handle of the furniture and the detailed finish. Basically, I referred to a lot of the recess handle and tried to reinterpret it from the perspective of product design.
The recess handle was our conclusion to allow it to function as a handle in itself without damaging the flat design silhouette. Also, when placed in the house, I tried to design a design that does not damage the existing interior like furniture.
Ergonomic Consideration
The height of the product is about 1960mm, and considering the average height of men and women, it was our test result that the operating button was located about 1300mm from the bottom.
Finding the best handle grip
For the most comfortable grip on the handle when users hold it, a prototype was created with various handle sections. By making this as rapid-prototype, I thought about the optimal handle grip with my team members.

Product line-up
It consists of two lineups: an 18-inch platform that can manage three clothes and
a 24-inch platform that can manage four clothes and a long dress.
Long Dress Zone
Existing clothing management machines were difficult to manage long clothing over 1,500mm. However, in this project,
we avoided the machine room of the product and found a creative space, which solved this long garment management.
Design to increase the value of space
When different products are placed in one space, they should be able to harmonize and faithfully perform their functions.
It is also important to expand the range of user choices by providing various products and types. Bespoke design based
on these values is a direction viewed by various products of Samsung Electronics' household appliances.
The value of Bespoke
Bespoke design is not just a trend, it is the beginning of a new paradigm. Bispoke design, which depicts the future as a companion that matches the user's lifestyle and orientation, will develop more actively in various ways, including appearance, function, and usage.
